Craig Berthold - LCSW

Craig is an esteemed LCSW who specializes in psychotherapy with individuals, marriages and families. 
Craig earned his masters degree  from the University of Utah in 1976, earning his clinical license in 1979. Craig worked as a child protection worker for the Division of Child and Family Services, as well as a family therapist at the Youth Services Center in Salt Lake City. He was the coordinator of the Child Protection Team at the University Medical Center and Primary Children's Medical Center. Craig directed Social Services at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, and worked as an instructor at the Utah State Police Academy and Weber State University. He has served as a consultant to the Salt Lake County Attorney's Office on issues of physical and sexual abuse and had an independent private practice with Psychiatric Associates in West Valley City. He has been a member of the clinical faculty at the Graduate School of Social Work at the Universtiy of Utah. Craig also served as a member of the Governor's Commission on Marriage for the State of Utah. He maintains a private practice located in Bountiful, Utah.

Libby Switzer - CSW

Libby Switzer is a dedicated Certified Social Worker with a passion for supporting youth, adults, and families in navigating life’s challenges and creating meaningful change. She brings a wealth of experience from her work as a student advocate and crisis worker in the Salt Lake and Davis School Districts, where she supported students through complex academic, emotional, and behavioral needs. Libby also worked as a case worker at Davis Behavioral Health and a therapist at Grandview Family Counseling providing individualized support rooted in compassion and evidence-based practice  to youth and adults.

Libby holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Utah State University and draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Gestalt, Psychodynamics, Solution Focused, Systems and Attachment theories. Her integrative style allows her to meet clients where they are while offering authentic connection, unconditional positive regard, and, when needed, a gentle but firm push toward growth.

Libby believes deeply in each person’s ability to make positive change and is committed to upholding the NASW Code of Ethics in all areas of her work. She is known for her warm, honest, and encouraging presence.

Outside of her professional life, Libby loves soaking up the summer sun, spending time outdoors, and cherishing moments with her husband, four children, and their quirky, beloved hairless dog Mbappe.

Rachel Waters - LCSW

Rachel graduated from Weber State University where she received a Bachelor degree in Art with a minor in Sociology. She obtained a Master of Social Work from Utah State University. Rachel began working in the mental health field in residential treatment with juvenile sex offenders and youth corrections.  She has worked as a case tracker and coordinator at the Children’s Justice Center in SLC and Ogden.  She served as a school social worker for Davis County School District.  She has worked at LDS Family Services as a counselor, and group leader before joining The Bountiful Health Center in 2017.  She has been a recurring guest on The Full Cup Podcast. Rachel specializes in anxiety and depression, marital conflict, attachment trauma, eating disorders, self-esteem, perfectionism issues, and stress management. As a clinician, Rachel believes that every person has the power to change their life.  That power is often found in how we define our struggles.  Her goal is to assist people in developing insight, strengths and skills to achieve change. She loves her work and feels honored to witness the change process.  Rachel has an immense love for art and finds it useful in the healing process.  She enjoys all things outdoors, and is a huge fan of laughter and saturated fats.  Rachel is a mother of 4 and wife to Andrew Waters and enjoys time with her tribe.

Andrew W. Wittwer - LCSW

​​Andrew graduated from the University of Utah where he received a B.S. degree in Behavioral Sciences & Health, with a minor in Gerontology.  He received a Master of Social Work degree in May 2000 from the University of Utah.

Andrew has been working in the fields of mental health and aging since 1993.  He has worked full-time for the Department of Veteran Affairs / Salt Lake VA Medical Center for the past 23 years, with expertise in mental crisis services, primary care social work, home-based primary care, and combat veteran transition care.  For the past 6 years, Andrew has worked as a Program Coordinator for the VA Caregiver Support Program.  Andrew joined the Bountiful Health Center in 2011.  Andrew draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and brief, solution-focused therapies.

Andrew specializes in treating depression, anxiety, individual, couple and family therapy, marriage counseling, stress management, life coaching, grief and bereavement, elder care consultation, and treating the unique needs of family caregivers.  Andrew works primarily with individuals, couples (18 years of age and older), but is available to work with younger adults as well.

“As a clinician, I believe people are inherently good and have the capacity to change and enhance emotional independence.  The power and opportunity to choose is a key to healing. I have the privilege to work with and learn from individuals and couples through some of the most difficult moments of their life.  My role as a therapist is likened to a bridge – helping someone navigate change, healing, getting free from pain; navigating the discrepancy between where they are and who they want to become.  It is my desire to help individuals, couples, and families to discover the truth of their story.  The courage I have seen exhibited is inspiring.”

Outside of professional pursuits, Andrew enjoys quiet time at home, exploring minimalism projects, spending time outdoors, and pursuing passions such as ultra-running and spending time with family.  Andrew is married to Wendy Martin Wittwer and they live in Bountiful, Utah.  They have 4 adult children, 7 grandchildren. Andrew invites you to take that courageous step to ask for help.
